44 - 44 - Rodin winced, the pain increasing. He couldn’t find its source, could have been from anywhere. Could have been the poison at work, or complications from the surgery. Not that it mattered. He was dying. Always had been, but it was coming faster now. He didn’t have long left. He had to get Don away from those screens, into the medibay. Had to see the man in person one last time. “Another awe-inspiring sight,” Don said as the inner layer of glass shattered. “I would have preferred the first rocket to have done the job, and if we’d waited maybe ten more minutes the glass would have been weakened enough.
