Rodin could tell the warriors were frustrated with Cat wandering off. But they had no reason to complain. Wasn’t like this was strenuous work, was it?
“What’s he up to?” Roach asked, leaning in to Rodin.
Rodin shrugged. That let more rain down his collar, a trickle running down his back.
“But you’ve worked with him before, right? Is he…I mean, can we trust him?”
Rodin snorted. “Don’t trust anyone.”
Roach shook his head, went to stand next to Panther. They muttered, and Roach pointed up the street. Then Panther turned.
“Heading for shelter. Building up there. He’ll spot us when he comes back, won’t he?”
“He’s not stupid.” And why were they bothering Rodin with these questions?
Panther nodded, like it was Rodin’s decision. “Okay. Let’s go.”
