Paper Rose

She grabbed a pair of tweezers, held the mouth open, and inserted them inside until they were at the throat. Carefully pressed both sides of the tweezers and grabbed whatever was inside. To their surprise, there was a paper folded neatly in the shape of the top of a rose. They did the same to the male body and inside his mouth was a long paper rolled; this long paper fitted perfectly under the rose, forming the full rose.

“Isn't he romantic?” Hackman said with sarcasm

Both the detective and the ME gave him the eyes like this is not the time.

“Let's unfold both papers to see what this guy has for us,” White said

They unfolded the top first.

And unrolled the second paper.

On the second paper, there was a small writing that said.

Here lay the key to my next piece of art.

“I think we are going to find another body lying around somewhere. I am going to notify patrol so they can start the search,” Hackman said.

“Hold on a second. This city is big it will take us weeks to search the whole thing they need a start point. We know he dumped the first bodies in the tunnel near Billie's house; tell your guys to look anywhere in a 20-mile radius from Billie's home. That would be a good starting point until we can decipher these notes. Another thing Emily check these pictures and tell me if they are the same persons in the photo.”

She handed the phone to Emily

“Looking at the pictures, I will say no, they are not the same. I will run them in a database to see if I can get a match somewhere.” Emily replied.

“Back to square one, it looks like this guy thought about everything.” Hackman said.

“Not everything; he had time to plan because nobody was looking for him, but now we are looking for him. Eventually, he will make a mistake. He is too cooky, and I will be there to catch him.”

“You are right. He is under pressure. We will get him.”

Detective White took a couple of pictures of the papers and bagged them to take them to analyze. They walked outside the building.
