Chapter Sixteen
[Iodine's POV]
I hadn't slept so well that I could remember recently. Leon was still holding me close, and everything that came out last night washed over me. I was angry at what he'd gone through, but then I'd said 'I love you'. It was supposed to be a big step in a relationship - but it felt natural. I'd really said it... and I meant it.
I blurted it without thinking. I turned around, and brushed his jet black hair off his face. The sunlight was streaming weakly through the curtains and made the room feel like a world of it's own. When he was awake there was a tension on his face that only went when he smiled, but at this moment he looked so peaceful.
