The
restaurant is very nice, but what occupies my mind isn’t the food but how to
make the evening complicated for Nick.
“Nick
and I, once a year, used to visit the new restaurants in town,” I say
nostalgically. “We made a list and for a month, twice a week, we tried new
establishments. I miss those times. We had so much fun ... I remember many
people thought we were a couple. It was crazy, right?”
To
be clear, almost no one thought we were in a relationship. As much as people
thought Jason and Elina were in love, no one has ever thought the same about
Nick and me, well except my sister and some close friends. My comment has upset
Nick though, and that’s enough.
