A Storm of Roses

Skylar played with his fingers as he waited in the middle of town by the large water fountain. He turned and gazed into the crystal clear water and looked at his distorted reflection. He jumped in surprise when he saw a pair of golden eyes reflected in the water. Spinning around he bumped into a large chest. It was just Eli, but it was strange that his eyes weren't yellow, they were just brown.

“Oh hey you surprised me.” he laughed awkwardly while clutching his chest.

“Sorry I didn't mean to. You look amazing.” Eli responded his eyes were scanning him up and down. His eyes were intense.

Skylar Blushed at the compliment and smiled, “Thanks, you look great too.”

“So what should we see first?” Eli asked while gesturing outwards towards town.

“Well we can start with some of the best places in town.”

“Sounds good.”

Starting around town they looked at shops and Skylar told him some old stories about his childhood.

Here they were now sitting in Paulina dinner. Skylar had recommended their burgers. He ate here all the time when he was in high school. And hadn’t been in a couple of months.

“So I was stuck inside the broom closet at school.” He finished off his story with a small laugh.

Eli laughed as he chewed on a Mexican inspired burger. Skylar noticed the crinkles at the corner of his smile and found them very endearing. Gosh was he handsome. He thought to himself.

“My dad was so worried and as punishment I couldn't play with toys for a week.” Piece was explaining how a game of hide and seek had gotten him in trouble

“You were a bad kid huh? Are you still a bad boy.” he asked.

Skylardidn't know why the question seemed to have two meanings. But he was being ridiculous. Why would it? Shrugging his shoulders he dipped his steak fries in his mixture of spicy bbq sauce and ketchup. And popped it in his mouth.

Skylar found that talking with Eli was actually easy and that he was easily swayed by his good looks. Skylar swore that if he wasn't saving himself for someone special he would hop on Eli like a stripper on a pole. But atlast that was the horny young man in him talking. He would need a cold shower after this date.

“Maybe next time you'll let me cook for you?” Eli asked after finishing off his burger.

“Next time?” he asked

“Yeah I enjoy your company and I want to see you again. But this time as a date” Eli said while reaching over and grasping his right hand.

Skylar felt sparks run up and down his spine, a warmth covering his body.

“So what do you say sweetheart?” he asked

“That sounds nice.” he agreed

“How about tomorrow?”

Skylar was actually happy that he asked for an actual date this time.

“Yeah okay, I hope your food is good.” he smirked. He's pretty excited.
