The room was filled with chatter when I opened the door, and it went silent the moment I stepped in. They all looked at me slowly, and I stood tall, not allowing their intimidating gazes to bother me.
I looked around and saw Xavier at the end of the table. I didn't bother looking at anybody in the room. The moment my eyes connected with Xavier, the electricity that went through my body was jolting.
His eyes did something to me that made my legs feel like jelly. I cleared my throat, realising I was standing there like someone who didn't know what they were doing.
“Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. If you'll all be so kind as to release my mate to me, we have something I discuss.” I told them, and they all looked at me like I was mad.
