*Marshall's POV*
I get into the elevator and when it reaches my garage, I get out and head to the car where Anderson was standing. He bows his head, opens the door and waits for me to get in and he enters the car.
"My villa",I order.
*D'Angelo Villa*
"Why can't Marshall forget about that dreadful day??!!", Martin complains to his old father.
"You even know that he can't. He lost his mother Martin", Martin's father, Marcus responds.
"You know dad,he doesn't have to be like that.He could actually find a girl and move on with his life but his too cold as ice and it scares delicate noble girls", Martin's younger sister, Mariah whines.
"Keep quiet Mariah!!", Jeff whispers to his wife.
"He's even cold to me his own father", Martin adds on.
"ENOUGH!!!", Marcus says angrily.
"I need all of you to leave my grandson alone and grant him the peace to mourn his beloved mother."
"But it's been 20 years dad-", Mariah tries to say but is cut short
"How dare you Mariah?!!", Marcus gets even more furious by her statement.
"I will not hear ANY word about dear Celine and her son Marshall from any of you. Now leave....ALL OF YOU!", he orders sternly
They all head to the door and Marcus is left all alone seated in the living room. He sighs sadly.
"I really wish you were here to see how great your dear boy has grown into a responsible man Celine. But he is no longer the same. Since that day,he has completely shut out the world and he is so cold especially to his father Martin", Marcus speaks to the Celine in his heart.
"Young master", Roman his butler bows respectfully.
*Christine's POV*
"Rye!!!", mom gasps. "Please let her go, she's your daughter!".
"Oh you're up Crystal...and why should I believe you??!!...you ran away with your lover when little Christy was just THREE!!!" Rye retorted
"Maybe she's your lovers child!", Rye shouted with anger he turned around and slapped me again
"Aaghh!!", I heard mom shout and Rye drop to the floor.
Just as quickly as he dropped Mom also fell down.I heard sirens outside the house.
Police barged in the room and handcuffed Ryes while the nurses followed and take my mom whose head is covered in blood.
"Mommy you're going to be okay I promise", I say with tears dropping.
"Christy..... Christy...I....will be fi-", she drifts off slowly.
"NO!!!...Mommy!!! Mommy wake up!!", I panic. We walk faster to the ambulance and head to the City Hospital. The nurses take her straight to the theatre.
"Please stay here, you can't be inside", the nurse tells me.
I pace the room back and forth to calm my mind from imagining the worst. Then I remember, "Chase!"
I run to the reception.
"Ma'am,may I please make a call?", I plead innocently.
"Sure, there's a hospital landline over there", she points to a wall, a few steps away.
I pick up the phone and try to call my brother. He picks on the second try.
"Hello??",Chase speaks.
"Chase, come to the city hospital right now!!", I command.
"Christy what happened???!!", chase recognizes my voice
"Please Chase, just come here now", I add desperately.
"Excuse me,can you sign these papers", I turn and see a nurse holding papers.
I sign, cut the phone and head to the waiting area.I sit down and wait for my brother and the doctor.
"Christy what happened??!", I look at the source of the voice and I see Chase running towards me with fear in his eyes.
"Chase,it's mommy....", I manage to say while I break down to tears. "She fainted...Rye came...He hit her....the polic-",he cuts me off.
"Calm down Christy, hush now",he hugs me tightly. I try to pull myself together and stay strong.
"Christy your face!!...Nurse!!!....NURSE!!!", he shouts softly at the nurse passing by. "Please can you check my sister's face", he says.
He follows me to an empty room and the nurse begins to disinfect the area.
My face is swollen and I have a cut just across my left cheek. The nurse finishes dressing the cut and gives me some painkillers. We head out to check on mom who's still in the theatre.
*Marshall's POV*
"Good evening grandpa.", I greet respectfully. Ever since my mother's death,my grandpa is the only one I care to speak with.
"Come here my boy", grandpa holds out his hands.
I walk to the sofa, sit next to him and lay down my head on his shoulder.
"You had the dream again",he says.
"I know you miss her,I also do but don't you think you should still speak to your father?",he adds.
"Please don't. I have no words for Mr Martin D'Angelo", I reply coldly.
"You've called him Mr Martin D'Angelo for twenty years Marshall", grandpa tries to correct me again.
"But I'll always love you my boy", he quickly changes the subject.
"I still feel like it's all a dream. That maybe one sunny afternoon, she'll return and enter the house in her favourite pastel pink dress and her long copper blonde hair loosely cascading down her graceful shoulders..... I miss the way her innocent smile made everything better, her hazel eyes......", I reimagined my mother emotionally.
"Marshall......You know she's watching down on you everyday ", Grandpa tries to comfort me.
"But it's just not enough....", a tear escape my eye. I quickly get a handkerchief and wipe it away.
"Enough of this sad moment, how are you feeling now?", I question sternly all back to my serious ways.
"I am okay now,but I would like to visit Marie today", grandpa looks at me pleadingly.
"Fine let's go", I accept. We get up and leave in my car. We drive to see Marie at the City Hospital.
