Chapter SevenWhen Tara saw The Castle silhouetted against the sky, she felt a sudden surge of gladness that she had come home. The dark clouds that had covered the sky for most of the day had suddenly broken and for the last hour there had been scuds of rain carried by a cold wind that made her feel increasingly anxious about the Duke. She had hoped, despite the fact that he had again insisted on riding when they set off that morning, that he would change his mind when it was obvious that he would get wet and join her in the carriage.
