Mr Xander bursts into Susan's morning as he arrives at work. But on entering, he discovers Ava is inside with Susan. From what he can say, they must have been chatting all this while. Before Ava exits the office, she looks at Xander as if she was going to chew him right away. Mr Xander looks away, now focusing his gaze on Susan. Susan, on seeing Mr Xander enter her office, in sign of surprise and respect, she stands and walks out of her desk.
Standing so firmly with her hands at her back. She shakingly says out to his hearing as Ava exits, closing the door. "Good morning sir, how was your night? Hope it went well."
She holds her breath as he walks towards her and then questions him again before he could answer the first one. "Sir, what brings you here? Do you need anything? I can bring it to your office."
He stops some away from where Susan stands and then puts his two hands inside his pocket. Looking into her eyes as she blinks constantly, trying to lose eye contact.
"Good morning Susan! What's going on?"
"Good morning Mr Xander! I wasn't expecting you this early. What brings you here?" She questions again trying to avoid the question he asked her.
Mr Xander looks around the office and then response to her questions, "Was just passing by and thought I'd drop by. But hey, what was Ava doing in here so early?" He says as he pulls his hand out of his pocket to mean seriousness since she has dodged his questions plenty of times without providing an answer.
Susan, raising an eyebrow to take a peek at him as she has been avoiding eye contact with him. "Ava? She was just in here for a quick meeting."
To understand why he asks about Ava and why Ava always talks about him recently, she looks at him and asks, "Is there something I should know about? Sir."
He leans in, looking serious, and then quietly responds to her questions. "Well, you know how she's been acting strange lately. I just wanted to make sure everything is alright, and no one is saying anything to anyone."
Susan nods and then response to him, "Yes. I've noticed that too. But don't worry sir, I spoke with her and everything seems to be fine. She just had a few questions about the upcoming presentation she has this week."
"Okay, that's good to hear." Xander nods, feeling more relaxed since Ava has said nothing yet. "I just wanted to make sure she wasn't causing any trouble."
She smiles looking down and then says, "Of course, Mr Xander. You can always count on me to keep things under control."
...
Ava stands at the door of Susan's office and has been waiting to hear the door handle move as a sign of Xander coming out of the office, but even after standing for about twenty minutes and still no one is coming out. She returns to her office while sorting out some documents to prepare for the presentation. Her attention is still outside, observing when Mr Xander will leave the office. The thought of what might be going on in the office keeps her distracted from what she was doing. She keeps on thinking when last the boss visited her office not to think of staying for a long time.
"Ugh." She quietly groans to relief herself of the pain she feels in her heart. She still doesn't want to confront Susan as she can see it's Mr Xander's fault of going close to Susan and not even giving her a look regardless that he hasn't seen her in the other room. She mutters to herself as tears feel her eyes, but she holds it in to avoid spoiling her makeup. "Did I do something wrong that day? That let him leave with a big bad impression about me or am I bad of a person? What is the problem?" She questions herself in anger, mistakenly throwing her bag on the floor. On picking it up, she sees the card that was given to her last week by Mr Xander's aunty. She recalls what Aunt Tina said to her that day about helping her win him over to love her. She picks up her phone to call her but pauses for a while and resolves at calling in the evening on her way home back from work.
...
Just then, as Susan thinks her boss will leave for his own office so she can resume work, Xander walks to her desk and sits down on the visitors' chair and then turns it around, facing her. He quickly says to her. "Hey Susan, could you please get me that file on the fraud from your bookshelf? I really need to see something real quick. As you must know, the presentation is about a new contract and you must be there as my personal adviser." He lets out a small smile as he looks at her.
She wants to laugh at the way he acts of recent to her and how he puts it out that she is his personal adviser amongst everybody he has been with in the longest of time than her. Not to keep him longer than supposed, she hurriedly answers him as she turns, walking towards the bookshelf. "Sure, let me just grab it for you real quick, sir."
She quickly walks over to her bookshelf, reaching up high to grab the file. Suddenly, the bookshelf shakes and tilts over. In a way of holding it to stop it from tilting over, she loses balance. He notices her struggle with the bookshelf but feels she can handle it. Just then, she is waving her hands in the air as a sign of imbalance. He rushes off from the chair where he is and wedges it for her, but then she slips.
"Oh, no!" she screams as she falls forward onto Mr Xander, their lips meet and they both open their eyes wide. Just then, Ava runs in without knocking as she heard Susan's scream. As she opens the door and sees the both of them kissing, she screams. "Ahhhhhhh."
