Few hours later...
Her hands still stuck on the desk, her fingers stiffened in same position as the feeling of unease raced unresistantly through her spine. She just wants to go home, nothing else.
Susan tries to focus on her work but her mind keeps drifting. Her hands feeling clammy and her stomach, in knots. Feeling like she is suffocating, trapped in her cubicle. She longs to be outside, to feel the sun on her face and the wind in her hair.
Reaching her elastic limit of restlessness, she grabs her hand bag on her way out of the office wearing a focused and formal face. She normally waited for like an extra hour after scheduled work hours to atleast make sure that she worked out with Ava on their way home but today was definitely not as cheerful as anticipated, considering the fact that Ketty just got rescued from some set of hired hoodlums and the Kidnappers in question did get apprehended by the COPs, still undergoing further investigations.
She was expecting some sought of joy atmosphere around the office as Mr Xander practically avoided his office workspace during ketty's disappearance and even when he was present, he fussed around the office with a stern look not even mentioning a word to anyone.
"Already leaving?" Ava stumbles on Susan on her way out.
Searching for words to back up her immediate exit, she stammers with a faint smile. " Ur..urgent things to fix at home. I've gat to run along."
"See you Tomorrow girl," Susan waves at Ava, then let herself out of the premises.
"Same here too."
She boards a taxi straight to her apartment. Reaching her apartment as soon as she did, she opens the door, gets a bottle water from the fridge and falls back to the chair exhausted and farmished while gulping the water down her throat.
Coming back home to an empty apartment as early as she did looked weired now, since she was already getting used to the working class lady's life style, plus the usual serenity which now appears to be as bored as f**k. 'This is what I get for being single at my age.' she talks to her self wondering how a young looking damsel of 23 years will be proudly single and not searching.
"Ugh" –she pat her head, climbing the stairs– "what a life."
"This shoes hurt, I better get rid of them before it disfigures my toes" she advances to her room to freshen up and offcourse fix something to eat.
After fixing herself some dinner, she lies down, struggling to get a sleep but all she did was toss and turn from one end of the bed to the other. His green eyes, showing up at every time she closed her eyes. His voice sounding so annoyingly clear in her ears. For what ever unknown reasons, she can't place her hand on the fact that his actions and words took tall on her mental health, throughout the left hours of the day. She sits up in the bed, turns right to turn on her lamp. It's being a long time and counting since she had trouble sleeping, but right there in the drawer of her nightstand next to her is a remedy and a reminder. The little yellow pill bottle, rattled as she opens the drawer. She hops out of the bed, advancing to get a glass of water. Once she was back into the room, she hesitatingly reaches out for the bottle. She never got a reason to take this pills for a long time. Everything is bitter-ish. Mirtazapine displayed in big bold letter on the front body of the bottle. Part of her, wishes to throw it back into her nightstand and forget that there was any of such. But if she wants any sleep at all, she will have no other option but to take one.
It didn't take long before the pills kicked in a space of minutes and she falls fast asleep.

Grriiinn! Grriiinn! Grriiinn!
The sound of the alarm wakes her in a start. In a sleepy haze, she reaches over and turns it off before tossing over in her bed.
"No way! Ooh... s**t!" Her heart racing as she looks at the clock. It was already 9:00 AM, and she was supposed to be at work at 8:30. She jumps out of bed, her head spinning as she tries to get ready as fast as possible. She blames herself for taking those sleeping pills, hoping she did not, but that was the reverse of her reality, leaving her, murmuring as she hastens to the bathroom.
Having no idea how long she had been asleep for, but she knew she was in trouble. She quickly gets dressed and grabbed her things, rushing out of her apartment, already imagining the worst-case scenario: being fired from her job for being late.
Wishing she had super powers, just like the super heros in DC/MARVEL movies. she hurriedly hops into a taxi going in her direction, constantly stealing glances at her wrist watch which counted down the minutes left for her to bid time to the office. "Please can you double your pace?" She whispers politely to the driver's ears. She exhales, as her eyes went from stealing glances at her wrist watch to Fixing her gaze at the wheel screen, having a view of each and every object on the road, hoping to just appear at her office desk.
"Stop! Stop just right here." She leaps out of the taxi in haste. Her heart panting at every step. Still having foggy eyes, she drops at the coffee shop closest to the EMPIRE building to get a cuppucino tea Despite her lateness, she knew, she had to get something hot repress or even ear of those sleeping pills.
Just as she tries to make an entrance into her office, A female voice calls out to her, leaving her startled and in shock, "Finally, she made it. You got me scared already, here I was thinking you weren't going to make it to work this morning, considering how you left yesterday" Ava says, walking down to her."
"Ooh my God, you startled me." She gasps with her hands on her chest. "The traffic wasn't really favourable this morning."
"Traffic?! Just thank your stars, the CEO isn't on seat yet."Ava sighs with a sarcastic smile.
