Xander Hesitates no time and then, in a part of escorting the investors out, he drives home at once, while leaving the company premises. He wishes to inform Susan that he is leaving, but the time is tight. The hotel arrangements for the birthday party have put a call across to him, so he has to run to the venue. Leaving everything to his kid sister is a no no. Stressing Ketty is not an option at all for him.
Looking around for Mr Xander but can't sight him, Susan walks to her office, picks her bag up and off she set for home. Getting to the elevator, Ava intercepts her, who stops her. "Where to already?" Ava asks her.
She looks at Ava and while her thought wonders. What is she thinking now, or is she up to something? Snapping out of her thoughts, she answers. "Ummm. Just going straight home, anything?" She tosses a braid over her shoulders..
"Yesterday I had a lot going on so I turned out your invitation, but today, no worries, and to top it, I want to celebrate. A treat out to a good meal restaurant. You are a strong pillar to lie on."
"We are one in this company. We all received the glory, right?" She replies Ava as they both walk out of the company, saying bye to the gatekeeper. They both stop a cab and off they went to Ava's favourite spot.
As they arrive at the restaurant, Ava takes it upon herself to take care of the bill for the night. They place their orders. While it's coming, Ava starts a conversation. "Susan, oh my gosh, can you believe it? We did it! We got the deal to build a home for older adults!" Ava, in a joyous voice, echoes out in the room. It then attracts everyone's eye on them.
"Yes! I can hardly contain my excitement! This is such an amazing opportunity for us and the company that has been dominated by mini deals." She says in response to Ava. Just then, the meal arrives.
"I know, right? And we beat out all those other firms! We must have really impressed the client." Ava smiles exclaiming as she picks out food for Susan to first taste before the other.
Susan chuckles on the spicy food as Ava helps her with a glass of juice to calm her down.
"The look on our boss's face was the world's best. I am glad this deal is a success and the ending will be great."Ava spills out as she stuffs a meat ball into her mouth. After taking down the food, she continues. "Absolutely! Our presentation was top-notch. I think they were really impressed with our attention to detail and our commitment to making sure the home is tailored to the needs of older adults residents." She mentions as facts that might have prompted them securing the deal.
"Yes, and they loved our idea of creating a community atmosphere. I think that's going to be such a key element of this project." She agrees with Ava on her assumption.
Dropping her juice glass, the Comments. "Definitely! And that we're going to have a beautiful garden area for the residents to enjoy is going to be a huge selling point too." She adds up to Ava's assumption.
It's been almost an hour since they arrived at the spot to celebrate. ","Girl, this is delicious, but too spicy. I think I'm just going to need a bucket of water in my throat." Susan mutters as they both laugh out loud. It's obvious spicy food isn't Susan's favourite. As soon as they were done, they leave. She compliments Ava and the spot chef for the meal, regardless. They both make a movement from there. Susan has already booked a cab, which is on the way, so has Ava. While waiting there for their cabs to arrive. Awkwardly standing and just gazing into the air. Susan breaks the ice. "And now the real work begins. We've got to put all these ideas into action and making this home a reality.–"
"Well, I guess that will be after we party tomorrow, right?" Susan says out as they both look up in the sky.
"Yes, for sure. But I have complete faith in us. We're going to create something truly special for these residents. And that's definitely after the party tomorrow."
Their drive arrives at the same time as they enter to their ride. Ava bids her farewell.
...
Arriving home and grateful for how the day went. The success and jubilation, Susan is weak. She crosses the kitchen on her way to her room and then she is happy she went out. If not, she will be in the kitchen, famished and lazy, trying to fix something for herself. She gets to her room, pulls off all she has on her and falls like an iroko tree on the bed, as she stares into her celling, thinking of what to get for the twin whose birthday is tomorrow.
She is stuck on calling John to suggest for her, s. Since is a man, he would know what to get for Mr Xander. While she thinks, her cell phone rings. As she picks it up to answer, there it was Ketty, one of the celebrant calling.
Susan, in a jovial way, answers. "Hello pretty lady. Longest time. How are you doing?" She speaks first.
"Hmmm." Ketty exhales. "Just here as you left me. Well, dear am great. Just kidding, but I need your help," Ketty says straight to the point of her.
"I'm always available for you so, I guess tomorrow I will call you to meet up, right?" she says to Ketty.
"Alright, let me let you rest. Tomorrow I will wait for you." Ketty replies her as she hangs up.
Immediately, the call disconnects. On lying down back, another call comes in but Susan is already too tired and wasted, then she sees it's him, Mr Xander. She glares at her phone for a while and picks up.
"Hello, dear. How are you doing?" He asks with joy, but gets no response. "Hello, hello." Still no response. He hangs up, now left in worries.
