After much murmuring and hesitation, she strolls sluggishly towards her phone and it stops bustling. "ThankGod. Finally!...But you know I wasn't going to answer that either ways right?" She smiles with beams of relief. "I guess, you never seeze to amaze me then." John shakes his head with light Smiles. "That reminds me, it's Saturday!" "Saturday...So–" "So it's a time to cool off from work stress and really unwind not getting drunk and embarrassed all over your boss." "Hahahaha, hahahaha." Hey both bursts in laugh. Her smiles and laughs only lasted for some seconds even as John is still lost in laugh. Her mind races back to last night, hearing John tease her with the word UNWIND.She rubs her left eye and adds, "Really? You really had to use that punch line, now." John freezes his eyebrows up, gulping down a jolt of saliva in slow pace at Susan's smirks. Seeing the sad look on Susan's face, he walks closer and adds, "Hey.. c'mon Susi girl. I was only joking. I didn't mean for it to come out that way." He playfully carreses her chick, left right, teasing her for a smile. "Just that I want you to leave a little once more. It doesn't have to concern work all the time. Besides its weekend already." John adds, strolling back to the couch. "Remember when we always jumped around the neighborhood, "Yeah.. I wish we could still get those vibes now, but work–" "Stop it! Work what! Chilling with your best friend on weekends, has nothing to do with work." Susan sighs, "Yeah.. I know but you also know that we can't go playing in mouldy sands or running all over the town like little children." "Naaa... That's not what I mean" "Then what do you–" immediately she is cut off by her own thoughts as an idea bumps in " Wait! Don't tell me, you're thinking what am thinking right now?" "Yeah yeah." John snaps his finger right at susan Strolling back to her room, "I haven't made anything yet. You can go fix up something for yourself in the kitchen "Enough of all this drama and confusion. I'm here now." She smiles, trying to fade of last night memories and enjoy the moment, "Alright, I will just pick out my dress for the beach. "You will help me, prepare light snacks for us. All what you'll need are in the kitchen and yes there are no soft drinks remaining. I haven't gone shopping in a long time but I will do that today,on my way home from the beach." " Yes boss, as you say I will obey." John smiles. "But you know, you have to find that guy who will treat you like I do. If not you will die of stress and no one to take you out for relaxation." John loudly speaks for she to hear. "I have you" she laughs out loud " At least until I know you are taken, so until then, we are stuck together". John, goes through the kitchen, picking out some ingredients to make Susan's favourite, which she takes as her light snacks. His choice was to help her relax, and feel at peace from work stress including the last night incident. But now he is stuck, as Susan has variety of meals she loves and they have limited time to cook. "Suzy, What would you like to have? Before I commence with my skills." John louds out to hear her options. Shaking her head, left right with her finger tapping her chin, "Hmmmmm, I was thinking of having some grilled chicken with a side of pasta salad. That sounds perfect for a beach day!" "Great choice! I'll get started on the chicken. "By the way, do you need any help getting ready for the beach?" John adds to Susan. "Awnnnn, such a caring man. Rare of a kind." She blushes for a moment with beams of smiles. "No, thanks John. I can manage. I'll just go get dressed and put on some sunscreen." "You know, I'll carefully watch for the lucky lady that's going to date you. You really deserve the best.. Worry not I got you covered alright." She chuckles, advancing to her room." "Alright, be fast. We don't have the whole day." "Thanks, John! You're the best." "My pleasure, Suzy. Enjoy getting ready!" Just as John cuts the conversation, Susan while selecting her dress slipped back into her thoughts of what happened the previous night between she and her boss. And upon that, she refused to pick his call this morning. what if it was for a whole different thing all together.Oh, my God. What will be my fate and courage facing him?" Susan thought as her jaw groans with regrets in her eyes. Few minutes later, she returns to the kitchen, "The food smells amazing, John!" She happily exclaimes. "Thank you ma'am. Just wait untill the chef is done." John mutters with pride. "Great, I can't wait! Let's me help pack everything up so we can head to the beach!" She hurries to the couch where she sits to remove her sandal, to give her freedom of movement and feel at easet. Just then, as she's about to pull her sandal it gets tight and stuck on her leg as she applies pressure to remove it she feels pains on her leg causing her to scream. Hearing it John runs out from the kitchen. "Susan, what happened? He asks, breathing heavily. I heard you scream. Are you okay?"He tries to take off her sandals. "Let me see that. "Oh no, your ankle is swollen. Did you twist it or something?" "I don't know, if I twist it but what I do know is that. It just hurts a lot." She says with pain in her voice. "Alright, let's not take this lightly. We need to get you to a doctor. Can you put any weight on it? " "No, it hurts too much." She says, scared of feeling pains.
