The question asked by Susan made Xander to realise that she remembers nothing about that night. He then takes the advantage of her ignorance to remain silence about the kiss that happened that night. The silence coming from her boss, Mr Xander, already confirming to her that something must have happened that night. She knows deep down, it won't be proper to pressure him to tell her anything. Right there, she regrets why she suggested the drink wine that night, knowing fully well that she was a light drinker.
With the mindset of not knowing what her boss must be thinking of her to be like, she, shaking and fretting, "I don't know what happened the other night. But am apologizing for it, am not that kind of person too. I slightly recall some wild things." She says, intending to pull him out to say something.
To cover up and save the situation, Mr Xander replies her "Oh, it's nothing much, just that you got a little drunk though I did my very best to stop you."
She, in a defence state, says out loud, "I was a little drunk. It was nothing much." Making faces.
"A little drunk? From what I know and saw, you were completely plastered. But it's ok if you say it was a bit, no arguments." Mr Xander sarcastically replies
Noticing his facial expression, she comments, "Yeah, I guess I may have overindulged a bit."
"So what happened? Did I say or do anything embarrassing?" She adds, still trying to hoodhink him into talking.
Mr Xander seeing what she is doing, spills out what she wants to hear. "Well, I don't really remember much. I just know that I had a good time, and that's what matters, right?"
"Yeah, it's what matters most." She replies with a relief in her voice as nothing bad happened. From what she understands, he just said,
In a haste to move, he concludes by saying to her, "I guess I should let you know. Be careful next time.
"Drinking too much can lead to some serious negative Ter effects. And if it was with anyone else, we can't tell what would happen, alright,"
Looking down and dragging her legs " Yeah, I know. I just got caught up in the moment. It won't happen again sir." She says with an embarrassing face.
"Alright, just be safe. And let's make sure we have a better plan next time, so you don't drink so much." He says as he walks back little by little.
Susan is amazed by what she heard, meaning he has plans for them to have another time out. As amazed as she is, should expect to gist her bestie John. Finally, he is here. Just as John walks forward, he dodges a bump with Mr Xander. This was an unexpected meeting between John and her boss for Susan, but seeing how things have turned out. She seizes this opportunity to introduce them.
"So sorry man, I didn't see you there." John says as Susan cuts him off.
"Hey John, I want to introduce you to my boss, Mr Xander." She says, pointing towards her boss.
To look like a gentleman, John puts out his hand to shake him, saying, "Hi Mr Xander, nice to meet you. I have heard a lot of good things about you." Putting out a smiling face.
"Hi John, nice to meet you too. You are the friend she spoke about." Mr Xander says with an indictable expression in his face.
To ease the tense that is unexplainable between the two men and to clear her boss out on any wrong thought he might be imagining. she says in a loud voice, "John and I have been friends since we were kids. We're still best friends to this day."
Putting a side smile on his face, Mr Xander comments, "That's great. It's always nice to have a friend that you can rely on for so long.
"it's definitely a special bond." He says again sarcastically as he doesn't know what it means to have such a relationship.
Just as he is about to turn his back to head out to the hospital for what he had come for, John starts up a conversation.
In a gentle voice "Sir, what brings you here today?' John asks
"Hmmmm, I had a meeting with a client nearby and I thought I'd stop by and say hello." Mr Xander exclaims.
Not to be left out since she introduced them, she cuts in between their discussion. "That's great timing! Mr Xander and I were just catching up nothing, and he was about leaving before you arrived."
"Yeah, it's good to see you again." With a smile looking at Susan, Mr Xander comments.
Not to look too to himself, Mr Xander asks. "So, what have you guys been up to lately?"
"Oh, just the usual. Work, spending time with family, that kind of thing." She answers him eagerly.
"Yeah, same here. Just trying to stay busy." John replies.
"Well, it's always good to stay busy. It keeps life interesting." Xander comments as he finally bids them farewell. "Bye John, bye Susan. Nice meeting you both.".
Just as the three finally ends the discussion, on the verge of dispatching a loud voice from the hospital door, should out saying," Hold on guys, am here." Just then, all looks towards the direction of the voice calling out. There she is, Ketty. She rushes towards the three of them, getting there she pants heavily. Everyone's eyes, set on her. Upon her arrival, everyone, including her twin brother, pays attention to her.
"Hey guys! Sorry to interrupt, but I've got a proposal for you all." With a mischievous smile on her face, she says.
"How about we have dinner at my place tomorrow, Sunday at 5 pm?". Raising her shoulders high, expecting a positive response from them.
Insisting on the get together dinner at her place, she chimes in on how Susan saved her life and that of her twin brother's, Mr Xander. "And I will really want to know Susan more." She adds as every one stares at each other and then one after the other they comment.
"Sounds great. I would love to know you more too. Count me in!" Susan replies, slowing her eyes down in a sign of respect for her boss.
"Sure, I'm in. Susan and I will come together. But how will we get the address?" John replies, asking Ketty a question.
"Count me in too." Xander adds his own reply.
Ketty, in excitement, replies John's questions, " my brother will send the address to Susan." She says as she bids them goodbye till tomorrow, dragging her brother with her.
