Immediately they bid farewell to themselves, John opens the Car door for Susan. When they left the premises of the hospital, riding home. John takes that opportunity before they get home to apologize to her for the long wait. Turning to see the expression on her face, he could tell she is lost in thought, but don't know what she is thinking, he decides to call her off to make her spill what's going on in her mind especially when she saw her boss. Deep down Susan was thinking verse between what to wear for the dinner tomorrow evening and the words she heard from her boss of assurance that nothing happened last night. While thinking of all things, a smile gradually increases on her face. Just then, he cuts her off. "Hey Susan, I'm so sorry for making you wait for so long. Time just seemed to fly by and before I knew it, an hour had passed." He says, looking straight on the road, driving. Happily "It's okay John. I understand things can get hectic." She rises, her hand tapping him on the shoulder as a sign of she understands. John continues, "I still feel terrible, though. I want to make it up to you. That Reminds me. "I remember that we had packed food for a picnic. Why don't I warm it up for you to have as dinner tonight?" He exclaims. Laughs out loud in a happy mood. "That's very thoughtful of you. I would love that." Shaking around in her chair as a sign of happiness. "Great! Let me just quickly drive you home, so I will also get home early." ... "By the way, seeing how you were alright while your boss was around, what happened earlier today? You were terrified hearing his name." Susan chuckles, clearing her throat. She makes him understand that what she feared, none of them happened at all, just that she thinks she embarrassed herself in front of him. Knowing fully well, she's a light drinker and that the Boss gave her a warning that she should never drink alcohol again, especially when someone is there. John laughs at her after she said all this. While they talk, they arrive at her place. He comes down, opening the door again for her to step out, this time around. Been grateful for a lot of this, she whispers to him, "Thank you, John. I really appreciate it." Walks past him, heading to her entrance door. Coming after her, towards the entrance door he says "No problem at all. I promise to make it up to you tonight. We can sit down and enjoy a warm meal together before I move back home." "That sounds wonderful. I can't wait. In that case, let's make everything snappy. You know I hate late driving." She says with a great concern in her voice.... Dinner, too few minutes and they together carried out the dishes. She walks out to the door, bids him farewell and a great night. She closes the door and windows in the living room as she walks upstairs changing up to bathe, which after bathing, she lies down on her bed, having her short prayers. Immediately as she finished praying, a call comes, her phone rings, stretching out to see who it is, to her surprise, it was her boss. Reluctant to pick, she first checks her time past 9'o'clock and into the night. ... Xander after driving his twin sister home, is back home. He goes straight to his kitchen, takes out water from the fridge to drink, while he gulps down in his throat. All that is going on in his mind is Susan. He can't find out why he thinks of her this much. But his much found joy was her not remembering what happened that night, so the secret remains with him and that too for a long time. He grabs dinner from the microwave and eats before heading upstairs to freshen up. Few minutes gone after taking his bath sleep seems not to be coming, so he immediately picks up his phone to press, the first display on his phone was Susan's contact, this pushed him into calling her, not sure she will pick or not. He dials the contact, expecting her reply. It rings for a long and at the time he is to cut; she picks up. In a shocking state, he speaks quick as not to stammer, "Hey Susan, it's Xander. Just wanted to check if you made it home safely." Panting hard Still amazed at how and why her boss will call "Hey Mr Xander! Yes, I did. Thanks for checking." She says, stammering. "No problem. So, how was your day today?" " Hope it wasn't stressful and boring." He says, as he's already running out of conversation. It's the first time he is doing these in a long time. She has been working at his company, and she finds it's strange that he is the one calling her after all she has heard and knows about him. She is careful not to misunderstand his current behaviour for anything that is not. Been careful in her words replies, "As you know, it was good. Busy as usual, but this time around, not at work but at the hospital." She exclaims. "Yeah, same here. So, I just wanted to remind you about the proposed dinner tomorrow evening."he saying in conclusion to leave her to rest. "Oh yes, I'm looking forward to it. It's my first time official meeting up with your sister. I pray I do well." She comments to lighten up the conversation between them. "Alright, I'll let you get some rest now. Have a good night's sleep." He gives his final words as he calls off the call. Just as the call got called off, without Susan realizing it, she says in a loud, "You too, boss. Talk to you tomorrow." Just then, hearing no response, she looks at her phone and sees that the call has been disconnected. She is still in thought about how she got to the place she is with her boss now she will have dinner with him at his sister's place. While she slept off, she tells herself, no matter what, she will have to behave herself not to cause any misunderstandings.
