John always knew that Mr Xander loves Susan but to his best of knowledge of how he acts towards Susan makes him realize that Mr Xander is yet to understand his feelings towards Susan though, he sees her as a great friend and a good person. But given that circumstance they're in, John is curious to know what occurred after this whole accidental kiss. He breathes down lightly and asks. "So what happened after the incident? What did Xander say to you?" He asks in curiosity in order to extract the whole details.
Susan's eyes turn sideways. She is shy regardless that John is her bestie, such hasn't been said between both of them before. She draws near to him, dropping her ice cream. She gives him a rundown of how she ran out of the office, leaving her boss and Ava there and afterwards, her boss came looking for her to apologize that it wasn't intentional, and no one will gossip about it.
Just then, before she could conclude, John cuts her off. "You mean to say he just apologised, and that's all? He said nothing extra?" John exhales in disappointment as Mr Xander can't even realize when fate is giving him an opportunity to get what he needs in life.
"What more could he say? It's not like the intended for the accident to happen or he took advantage of me he has to be responsible for." She frowns at John's expression. "Should I continue with the story or save the boring speech?" She asks him.
He smiles then looks at his phone and to his surprise it's almost 9:00 Pm. He still has to take Susan home to rest early as they both have work tomorrow and driving to walk tomorrow to his studio is of a great deal. He answers her as he gives his card to the server to use in payment for their dinner.
"Yes, of course, you chose your take to gather informations from me about Ketty and here you are unwilling to give out a full details on what happened at the office and my opinion is mine. What ever I say is just my expression."
"It's late. Let me drop you off, but still hold your story where you stopped because you definitely complete that story before we get to your apartment."
Immediately, they enter the car and they drive off. Just then John smacks his hands, giving her a sign of start your story from where we stopped. For a while she tells him all, including when she summoned courage to tell her boss that their closeness to the outside public is limited from there onwards to reduce gossip and envy coming from co-workers to her and lack of respect.
John can't do much. Listening to the whole situation, he folds his arms across his chest. He nods his head in disappointment. To him, the story seemed like a potential one, leading to something beautiful. That only time that gave Susan and Xander, the chance to see the fact that they are both in love with themselves. John gives a big smile to her to encourage her on the decision she made with her boss. Susan is happy for John that finally his days of being to his lonely self will soon be over and she will end as Ketty is now on his matter.
They finally arrive at Susan's house and it's thirty minutes past nine o'clock pm, they exchange pleasantries.
John exclaims. "Oh, thanks so much best for catching up on old times, you know. It was great to seeing you and sharing on your thoughts." He further says to her in his concluding words. "Whatever you do, be smart and put yourself first before anyone else and whenever you think things are more than the eyes meet and you can't figure it out, am just a call away." He hugs her.
Susan replies to him asking. "I bet I will do just that best. So, what's next for you?" She puts a side smile on her face.
He immediately replies her with clarity, "well, I've got a lot of work to do. Especially now that all these new projects are in the works. But I'm excited about what's to come and about Ketty. I will take a step at a time, am not in a hurry. If she is mine, then she is definitely mine. No shakes on that.
She gets off the car, closes the door and, looking through the mirror, she says. "That's awesome, John. Keep up the good work. And remember, I will always be here for you." She says, smiling and showing her full teeth.
"Go inside, young lady. Later it's late. Thanks, Susan. I will. It's always a pleasure chatting with you." He responds and as they both separate, heading in their various directions, they shout out to their hearing. "God night best!"
...
It's been an hour since Mr Xander entered his house. He's been sitting on the couch inside his room, facing up wards thinking of how his day went in the office, reliving how the accidental kiss happened with Susan. And after for a long time of deeply lost in thought, he bluffs out, laughing as he remembers Susan saying it's her first kiss but little does she know that, it's actually her second kiss. She still lost the first kiss to him. Coming back to his mind, he picks up his phone, dials Susan's number before it could ring before he disconnects the phone. "No. I shouldn't be doing this." He twitches and stands up. He advances to the bathroom and freshens up and goes down to grab a glass of warm milk, and that was his dinner. As a boss, waking up early was a goal. He takes to his bed, wears his eye patch to fall as sleep. Just then, a text message came into his phone. He stretches his hands, grabs the phone to read and surprised it's Susan.
