The call

Mrs Tina has been waiting to hear from Ava since the last time she visited Mr Xander at his company. Ava makes the call as she is left with no option. She knows she isn't really familiar with who Mrs Tina is to her boss asides the fact that she's Xander's aunty. And that was the first time they met haven worked for Mr Xander for so long.

In a gentle manner, Ava speaks to her. "Mrs. Tina, how are you doing today? Longest time." She remains quiet.

Aunt Tina mysteriously laughs out loud on the phone, as she energetically says. "I'm doing great, Ava. How about you? I have long expected your call, but you weren't coming fought. I almost gave up on you." She smiles as she breaks the silence over the phone.

"Are you there or?"

"I'm doing well, thanks. I was hoping to get your advice on something. You're a great relationship coach, and I could really use some help. About what you said the other day, but before that, I need you to answer some of my questions." She waits to hear her response.

"Ah ah ah ah." She laughs and then quickly response to her. "Of course, Ava. What's on your mind?"

Without hesitating, she throws her curiosity out at Mrs Tina. "Well, I've been working at my job for a while now, and I have never heard about you or seen you in anything concerning him. To make it more unbalanced, he was furiously angry at you the day you came to visit. And that has got me worried. I know I want to gain something from you, but I would not want to hurt who I love." She asks and remains silent to hear what Mrs. Tina has to say.

Aunt Tina chuckles as she starts making her statement to clear Ava of her curiosity, but she starts by complimenting her. "I clearly see you are a clever girl. I can't tell what he sees in that other lady, but trust me when I say you are worth it. Not withstanding about what you asked, I will tell you some. But later, when we catch up, we'll finish from where we stopped."

"Hmmmmm." she exclaims as she continues talking. "Xander, your boss is my nephew. My sister left him while he was of a tender age and then I had to train him. Like I said, I will give you him, as I know him front and back. Seeing the way he looked at the other lady, I could tell immediately that he feels something for her, but he isn't certain, so don't worry, I got you."

"Before you say about you and him, hope there are no other questions for me, cause when you start talking, I will remain silent to listen." She scoffs with a mischievous smile.

"Yes, I do have. You have been talking about my boss but you never mentioned his twin sister, or you don't know her." Ava alters.

"Hmmmm, you really have a lot of questions to ask. Thats fine. I know her but I didn't train her, and about that, it's history. I don't enjoy talking much about that history." Mrs Tina response to her.

Ava sees she has no time for a long talk though she wants to know a lot but time isn't favouring her. She decides to go straight to the point later the rest can be discussed. "So, ma'am, I have a huge crush on my boss. I really want him to love me and only me. I know it sounds crazy, but I can't help how I feel." Ava says lowly to avoid someone eavesdropping on her conversation.

"Hmmmmm, that's a tough one. Have you tried talking to him and getting to know him better?" She questions Ava to know more about her and how close she is to Xander.

With an eager voice, Ava answers."Yes, I have, but it seems like he's always busy and doesn't have time for me. I'm afraid that he might not feel the same way about me. Am his secretary but we have grown apart for a while now." Ava soberly says with her voice breaking gradually.

"Hmmmm." Mrs Tina exclaims as she starts to inform her about some steps to take. "You see, the first thing you need to do is make yourself stand out from the rest of your colleagues. Show him you're unique and different from everyone else. Start by dressing up nicely and being catchy and being confident in your abilities. Show him that you're capable of taking on more responsibility and that you're willing to go above and beyond for the company."

"Well, another thing you could try is to show him how dedicated and hardworking you are. Maybe if he sees how much effort you put into your work, he'll start to appreciate you more. This is a natural way of letting things fall into place." She advises Ava.

"That's a good idea. I'll try to impress him with my work ethic and performance. Also, I will try to be nicely and attractively dressed too. Hope it's ok?"

Mrs. Tina answers her. "Also, make sure that you're not being too pushy or clingy. It's important to give him space and not come on too strong. always remember, men are moved by what they see. Calls his attention without calling his name. He will be the one hunting after you before you know it."

Ava smiles finally as she has something off her sleeves. She happily says, "I see what you mean. I'll try to take it slow and not overwhelm him with my feelings."

"While you are on that, also use the opportunity to accomplish another thing. You could try to find common interests with him. Maybe he likes a certain sport or hobby, and you could show an interest in it too." Mrs Tina adds,

As Ava smiles uncontrollably, she raises her head up to see Susan standing at the door. Fear grabs her.
