At the get-together dinner

And just some steps more to get to him, he replies to her "It's Su.. Susan and John." He stammers as he speaks. As Ketty sees Susan, she is lost in astonishment at her whole appearance, that she couldn't hold back her thoughts.

With a very sweet voice she says "Come in, Hi Susan, you look absolutely stunning today. What is the secret?"

Susan blushes unresistably, "Thank you, ketty. That's very sweet of you." She says as she walks into the house, directed towards the dining room.

Still staring and amazed at her, she continues to comment on her appearance, "No, seriously. Your smile lights up the whole room, Susan." She mutters in amazement as she pulls the chair out for her to sit.

Susan, still smiling, replies her back with her eyes looking down, "You're making me blush, Ketty."

"Alright, since you can't take it one at a time, it completely." Ketty mutters as she praises Susan. "And those eyes of yours, they're like diamonds shining in the sun.–"

Xander Laughs as he cuts Ketty off, saying "That's too much, ketty."

Ketty stops at a point and says to Xander "If you won't say the truth, let me. Big bro." She looks at him with pleasing eyes. Then she continues, "And your hair, it's so silky and smooth. I just want to run my fingers through it."

Susan, sitting quite on her chair, just blushes, smiles and thanks Ketty for praising her. John, on the order hand, coughs so Ketty will notice him, just then Ketty turns to him bursting out into laugh. Ketty happily walks over to John, tapping him on the shoulder and says to him, "You know, you are handsome and cute. Even if you are not told, you will never forget, but a ladies' case is different. The lady needs to be reminded to know and be sure." John smiles at Ketty, accompanied by a question. " So why is that so, and how do you know all that?"

"Urrmm, let's just say I learnt well enough as both a lady and a doctor by profession." Every one laughs out at her reply to John. Just as ketty advances to the kitchen to get dinner, she drops a bomb as a question.

Unexpectedly, Ketty asks, trying to leave the dining table, "Everyone has been trying to complement each other but Xander, you have said nothing. Is she not looking beautiful or what?" She utters sarcastically, leaving the room.

Everyone remains quiet as Xander looks side ways but his eyes meets that of Susan. She couldn't take it but look away and without wasting a minute, he spills "You look beautiful and outstanding." She blushes on a whole new level. Immediately, John coughs, interrupting them by asking Susan to go help Ketty out in the kitchen to carry the food to the dining room. She leaves immediately, calling ketty's name to locate where she is. Just as she leaves, Xander takes the initiative to first start up a talk between him and John, other than make the whole scenario look bad and boring.

"You are in to what, again John?" He talks out loud to break the silence.

John smiles as he replies him "About that, am a photographer and videographer. I own a studio, though, in the other city."

Happy to hear this, he comments, "Am always happy to hear a young man like myself having a vision for himself. I'm thrilled for you, but isn't it far as you live here in this city?"

"Hmmmmm." John exhales. "True talk, that is why I stay there throughout the week and I Come back here on weekends. So it's more easy for me like this."

While they both conversed, the two ladies walked in carrying the foods, while they drop the food on the table, they tell the two guys to go get the drinks. As they both stand up, leaving the dining room, Ketty and Susan dishes out the meals on their various plates. When John and Xander gets back to the table, food was already served and as gentlemen, they open the drinks they brought. Mr Xander makes sure not to serve Susan with wine, but with fruit juice. John, seeing that, couldn't hold back himself from laughing, though Susan was angry that she can't take wine. She still thanks her boss for pouring her a drink.

Using the spoon to hit the plate as she distracts the rest from what they were doing, to start the dinner proper. Ketty, as soon as she got their attention, appoints Susan to lead them in a brief prayer section.

Smiling in reply, starts the prayers, saying, "Father, we thank you for all you do and for life. Let this food nutrition perfect us and give us a long life. Amen" she concludes. They all eat. While they ate, Ketty takes the idea to pinch her brother and Susan, seeing how the two avoid eye contact a lot.

Ketty chuckles, picking a glass of water to drink. When she was done she says" Brother, one question I want to ask you. Do you think Susan is heavy as you have carried her before?" She looks more focused on her food than on their facial expressions, knowing what she has done.

"No. She isn't heavy at all. I like the way she is. Don't misunderstand me, Susan." He says to reply to the question asked..

Susan looks pale and confused as she doesn't remember when her boss carried her. Xander notices her expression and explains further "The night you got drunk, you were walking aimlessly from one end to another, around the sitting room when I was about leaving so I carried you to your room to be sure that you we're okay before I left. That's what happened." Susan understands him but feels more shy towards him.

Few minutes after dinner was done and dessert taken. Looking at the time and having in mind tomorrow is work, John and Susan bids to take their leave, also present the gift they bought. As they are about to leave, standing at the door. "Can I have your number? If you don't mind." Ketty asks John for his number and he gives her. To everyone's surprise, Xander calls out to Susan.

In a calm, gentle voice he says "Have a good night's rest and see you tomorrow." He goes back inside.

Every one smiles.
