The walking trail roves for miles through attractive neighborhoods with single family homes, often along channels that capture and direct water from the desert's flash floods. Deciduous and evergreen trees share the shoulders on both sides, along with varying rock patterns, resting benches, miniature flower gardens, and water fountain stations with nozzles for humans and canines. Creatively landscaped, the xeriscaped trail's water usage is kept to a minimum while avoiding a barren appearance. In addition, the trail has been designed well to minimize any crossings with vehicle roadways.
