The sound of my phone ringing woke me up the next morning.
“Still asleep?”
I yawned, wiping my heavy eyelid with the back of my palm. “I'm awake now.”
“Okay, I'm waiting,” Lucas's voice came out clearer this time.
Waiting? I immediately sat up and jumped off my bed, my feet taking long strides towards the window.
I got there just in time to see Lucas step out of his car and Calvin drive away with it. He leaned against my new car, his eyes shifting to my now-open window, and I blushed.
