I clenched my jaw, tired of all his idiotic remarks. “I'll take that as a yes then.”
“So, do you feel better after doing this to Karen? Your voice doesn’t sound excited,” Adam observed, finally acknowledging my mood throughout the call.
“She tried to take my life. It'll take a few more pranks to do the trick.”
“Sure, sure. I have to go now, okay? I love you so much, and I will keep fighting for your love.”

“Great choice,” I nodded, too tired to drag out the conversation.
