Karen walked alongside Adam, her heels clicking on the polished floor. "I'm excited to see the new presentation room," she said to him, sounding enthusiastic.
Adam smiled, his eyes glinting with a mischievous light. "I know you'll be impressed."
"I hope this isn't all talk," she teased, and he laughed. Though a little too loud for her statement.
As soon as they got to the door, Adam pulled out his phone. "Please let me just check on something real quick. You should go ahead."
