Sebastian was bursting with joy. He couldn’t stop thinking about what Sophie told him—told Daniels. It was his happy place he’d latch onto whenever the world tried to drag him down. He’d heard all those things before, but coming from Sophie, the words meant a lot.
Granted she wasn’t telling him that, she was saying those things to ‘Daniel’ , but it just made everything a lot more honest. He also admired how respectful she was to Sebastian, on his public account. not that he’s have minded if she weren’t, but it only emphasized what a great person she was.
Sebastian knew he should let her know who Daniel really was, but he couldn’t, especially not after that. He’d just seen how real Sebastian brought out her refined version and while he understood that, he’d like to talk the real Sophie for a little while longer. Besides, he didn’t know how she’d react—if she’ll feel betrayed or not, and he didn’t want that. He’ll let her know soon, he promised himself.
He was also extremely happy about the fact that Sophie would finally get the recognition she deserves. His decision to share her post was only a slight bit biased. He genuinely did like her singing and it would sound juvenile coming from someone like him , but god he wanted to see her sing in person.
He decided to tell her that.
Daniel: I want to see you sing in person.
Her reply came a few hours later.
Sophie: How far is LA, anyway? Come over
Daniel: Just across the street. Blink and I’ll be there
Sophie: Oh hey! There you are. Come in
Daniel: Am I hot?
When she didn’t reply instantly, he wanted to take it back. They had never flirted before and he certainly didn’t want it go there, because “there” messed things up. “There” was the worst thing to ever happen to humanity.
He started typing to tell her to ignore that, when her reply came.
Sophie: You know, I just realized I don’t know how you look.
Good. She’d safely driven them away from “there”. Very good, indeed.
Daniel: You’ve realized correctly
Sophie: It’s not fair, don’t you think? You know how I look. You could be a child predator for all I know.
Daniel: Haven’t we been there already?
Daniel: And you’re not a child. Far, far from it.
Sebastian had seen the photos and videos, he knew.
Sophie: See? Not. Fair.
She was right, but he couldn’t exactly send her his picture.
Could he?
He had to try, if only to make his conscience feel good.
He sent her an image.
Sophie: ha. Very funny
Daniel: What’s funny?
Sophie: This is a picture of Sebastian Daniels
Daniel: And?
Maybe Sebastian wanted her to know. Maybe he didn’t want to lie to this sweet, sweet girl. Or maybe he just wanted to tell himself he’s not lying.
Sophie: I asked you how you looked.
Daniel: Well, I’m equally as hot for starters.
Not a lie. Not technically.
Sophie: Ha. Lies
If only she knew.
Daniel: C’mon he’s not that hot. I might even be hotter.
Not a lie again. The pictures didn’t do him justice.
Sophie: Sure, sweetie. Whatever lets you sleep at night.
Was Sebastian just jealous of his own face? Yes, yes he was.
Sophie: I’m not going there. I’m not going to be the shallow person who can’t see past people’s looks.
Daniel: It’s fine. I have feeling Sebastian won’t mind you judging his looks
Sophie: Unless he’s an absolute pig, I think he will mind getting objectified.
Daniel: Well yeah. But I don’t think he’d mind getting objectified by you.
He really needed to stop. Why couldn’t he stop?
Sophie: Why do you care?
Hell if he knew.
Daniel: Okay, fine. But just one question?
Sophie: Yeah?
Daniel: objectively speaking, who do you think is the more superior looking band member?
Sophie: Ugh there you go again
Daniel: This isn’t objectification. This is making asking you to tell me who’s more attractive of the three, solely based on physical features because you don’t know actually know them so you can only judge them based on their looks and you have no choice
Sophie: I-
Sophie: Oh god, fine
Sophie: Sebastian.
Sophie: You’re so annoying
Something in his chest warmed and the ice cracked.
Daniel: Then I’m definitely your type.
Sophie: noted
Daniel: Great
Sophie: And discarded.
Daniel: perfect
Sophie: Uh huh
Don’t go there, don’t go there, don’t go there.
Daniel: I think you’re my type too.
