CHAPTER THREE - HOW MANY MASON'S?

CASPIAN'S POV

" Of course, it's a couples necklace and Lyra has one of those, she said you guys got it when you guys went for a fair and you have been wearing it since then. If I am understanding you correctly, you lost your memory and you don't know how?" Sofia asked curiously but now I realized that the only reason I couldn't bring myself to sell the necklace when I was suffering and needed money badly is because the necklace is important and it meant something even though I couldn't remember it.

" Yes, I don't know how I lost my memory and for how long ago I lost it, I just know that I couldn't remember anything including my name." I informed truthfully while still thinking if I can remember anything especially now that I have people here to help me jolt my memory.

" You never said you couldn't remember your name when I asked Caspian." Charles pointed out and I feel bad for lying to him.

" I know, it's just that it was already bad enough that you met me when I was begging for food and the fact that I couldn't remember anything, especially my name was sad. So when you asked for my name, I looked around and the first thing I saw were cars and then I saw a piano store and decided to combine the both and that's how I came about Caspian." I said truthfully and I am glad to know that maybe my real name is Mason.

" Well it's a good thing to know that you lost your memory and you didn't lose your humor but you need to follow us home and see Lyra because she's losing her mind and the only way to help her is for her to see you and maybe seeing her might even help with your memory." Rowan suggested and I think he is right, I need to go back to wherever I used to stay and find out who I am.

" Where is home?" I asked curiously.

" Manchester, England." Rowan informed and I am more curious to know about me because what am I doing here in New York with no memory of my past.

" Well this is all new to me but I will think about it and let you know of my decision, I will move you guys to one of my guest house till I decide on what to do but if I am truly not a twin and I am the Mason guy you are looking for, then I am curious to know about my past." I informed even though I have mixed feelings about it.

" You are not a twin Mason, you are my best friend and you have a fiancee, you have a whole life with us and Lyra in Manchester and Lyra will be thrilled to have you back, in fact now that we know you didn't leave by choice, we will all be thrilled to have you." Rowan said while they both smiled at me.

DR BRONSON'S POV

Please wake up boy, I don't want to have to pull the plug on you if you still have a chance of coming back to life... It's been over a year now and you are still laying in this damn hospital bed, wake the hell up boy.

" Dr Bronson, this is not healthy. It's been over a year and you are still trying to keep this guy alive even though we both know he won't make it." Dr Gabrielle showed up to the room again and I know she's here to try to convince me to pull the plug but it's not happening.

" You don't know that Gabrielle and he is just not a boy like you call him, his name is Mason Fabian and I won't pull the plug on him, this is my hospital and you can't tell me what to do. I put him in this condition and I will do everything in my power to keep him alive." I said challengingly because I am sick and tired of Gabrielle telling me what to do because she's a doctor too, she's under my payroll and she will do what I say.

" Look, it was an accident and you know it, you didn't run him over on purpose Bronson. You brought him here and you tried to save him but it's been over a year now and you have to understand that you can't help him." She pointed out and I am infuriated.

" I'm not pulling the plug and that's final, have you forgotten so soon how I lost my wife and kids in an auto crash, they died instantly and I couldn't save them but this time around, I am going to save Mason Fabian no matter how long it takes, I will keep him here hooked to this machines till he comes alive or till his family comes looking for him and makes the decision. Are we on the same page Gabrielle because this is my hospital and you have to support me, my duty as a doctor is to save lives and that's exactly what I am trying to do with Mason." I reasoned with her again because if she's going to be a problem, then I will let her go and I don't care wether or no she's my friend .

" It's fine, if that's what you want then I will support you to keep Mason alive even though I know that a year is too long and I don't even think he has a family, because it's over a year now and no one has responded to our advert and no one has come looking for him." Gabrielle reasons and I think she's right on that one.

Immediately after the accident, I brought him here and the only thing I found on him was just his wallet that has his ID card in it and I searched for his family, reported at the station, I even took his picture to the television house and I went to the radio station as well with the hopes that his family will come looking for him but I guess Mason Fabian has no family but it doesn't matter because I want him alive regardless.

" Yes maybe he has no family or friends looking for him but it doesn't matter to me because I will keep him alive regardless." I said as I took one last look at Mason on the bed before leaving the room with Dr Gabrielle.
