Clover You don’t get to thank me for keeping you safe and then leave me, Clover. His words haunt me. Echo inside my skull like a curse.I lie in the bed that’s no longer a comfort. It’s a velvet-lined prison. I don’t know anything about his childhood but I know he’s fiercely protective of his brothers. He doesn’t let others in.
