I was stunned when I saw Nate shift into his wolf form. I didn't expect him to shift just because Hayden was coming toward me with rage in his eyes. I never knew Nate could be so... protective.
Kai, his wolf, was beautiful in my eyes, especially because of the black fur surrounding one of his eyes. Of course, he was not as powerful as an Alpha wolf, but he was great at tactics. He could defeat his opponents through tactics alone.
Hayden’s eyes were wide with surprise as he saw Kai. He must not have expected Nate to shift just to protect me.
I saw him grin as if he was going to enjoy fighting Kai, or it might be because he looked down on Kai. Whatever the reason for his grin, he shifted into Rhett not long after.
