“Wait here.” Theo got off the car first and circled around to open the door for me.
“Oh, thank you,” I smiled at him.
“This is what I should do as your mate,” he smiled gently.
I blushed again. How did I deserve a mate as kind, gentle, and considerate as him? Maybe because the Moon Goddess had mercy on me. Perhaps she knew she had mated me with the wrong Alpha before, so now she kindly gave me a second-chance mate who was 180 degrees different than Hayden.
We walked toward the auction hall side-by-side. Before we entered the hall, Theo offered me his arm like a true gentleman. “Place your hand on my arm, my dearest mate.”
