Eight This is what she said: Sometimes we long for the light of day because we think that our way will be then clear to us. Of the dark night we are fearful. There we cannot see our way forward and we are beset by doubt and imaginings. And yet, the unexpected can occur on the brightest of days and throw all that we have trusted to that point into chaos. Thus, daylight is no assurance of certainty. It is in the darkness that we endure, through our uncertainties, till morning light. And thus, we are stronger, more courageous, when we see no hope and no way and yet continue than when we set off in sunshine without care. We are blind when we think we can most clearly see.
