There are always multiple possibilities in life. For every path there is another way that would lead to the same destination. I have chosen a varied path … . It might be a way that takes longer or is less pleasant or more fraught with danger or difficulty, or a path that is sunnier, or darker, but it is a way, nevertheless. And there are alternatives to the mode in which we travel the chosen way. Walking, running, sailing, flying, hurrying, lingering, even turning back. Happily, sadly, cruelly, generously, softly, loudly, intelligently, stupidly, kindly, hopefully, dejectedly.
