Ryleigh walked into the office Stefano was sitting in his chair, and she placed his coffee and doughnut down. He smiled he could get used to this, but today she seemed different, today she seemed nervous. But, why?
‘Is everything okay Miss? Blackwood?’
‘Just fine.’
‘No, it’s not you’re shaking, what’s on your mind.’
‘Nothing.’
‘There is Ryleigh please you can talk to me about anything.’
She gulped it looked as if she’d been crying, but why?’
‘Please don’t fire me.’
Excuse me you what? Did I even hear that right?
‘What?’
‘Please don’t fire me.’
‘And why would o do that Miss. Blackwood?’
‘I overstepped the mark last night and I’m sorry.’
‘What do you mean overstepped what mark exactly?’
‘In the car.’

‘I’m sorry I want to think straight. I just thought...’
‘What did you just think Miss. Blackwood?’
‘You looked a little lost like you had something bothering you.’

‘And I’m sorry for prying into your business. I shouldn't it’s nothing to do with me. I just don’t know I just wanted to comfort you and tell you it was okay when it probably wasn’t. I won’t interfere in your business again I apologise.’
‘There’s nothing to apologise for Miss. Blackwood thanks for your concern, but it’s something I have to deal with alone.’
‘I understand. I’ll just pack up my things and go.’
‘And why would you do that?’
‘I overstepped the mark I interfered in so the thing that had nothing to do with me.’
‘I’m not firing you, Miss. Blackwood.’
‘You’re not?’
‘No. You’re the best P.A. I’ve ever had, you’re reliable, a good timekeeper and above all you’re polite and well-mannered I couldn’t ask for a better P.A.’
She smiled. ‘Thank you Mr Tanner I promise never to pry into your business ever again.’
I smiled I knew she was scared her father would give her an ear full if she got fired, but I wasn’t going to fire her cause she cared I’m not that evil.
‘Now back to work before I change my mind.’
‘Yes Mr Tanner sir.’ She said, before she hurried away, I smirked I would never fire her she is a great asset to this company and I want her by my side to take it to new heights.
