I can’t be I’ve my father had sold his company to those Moretti’s he told us they had merged their companies so they would grow stronger and gain many new investments.
Bullshit.
He did it so he could retire and have all his wealth go down the shitter. Now we’ve all got to suffer the consequences. He made sure that Ryleigh got a job there as Stefano - Tanner- Moretti’s P.A. She's just as pleased as I am for this f*****g bull s**t takeover. We both couldn’t believe that our father would seek the family business without consulting any of us first. Mom was fuming at his hasty decision to merge with such a big company as Manhattan Industries. They were known worldwide and also had a sister company: Fallen industries. So why the f**k did they need another one, why did they need Blackwood Inc?
I didn’t want to change stupid schools I was happy where I was despite all the s**t I was getting into. My father had to go and pull me out of a private school one I’d been in since I was four to be sent to a mainstream school a f*****g mainstream school, what the f**k was he even thinking? I agreed just to keep him off my back. What I didn’t bank on was meeting him: Christian - Tanner - Moretti. With all their money, wealth and fortune I was surprised he wasn’t in a private school or was home tutored.
I got to the school around 8:30 am and was escorted to the headmaster's office where he had a talk about bullying and how it was not tolerated and what to expect for the upcoming year seen as it was my last year, this was such a worse of f*****g time. I got her timetable and headed to my fourth class.
He looked up and so did his friends they gapped at me I saw them talking to each other in whispers.
‘Looks like. We’ve got a new kitten to play with.’ Alessandro chuckled.
He smirked his brown-eyed landed on me but I chose to ignore him he looked like a bad boy, a f**k boy. The teacher pointed me towards the empty seat beside the f**k boy. I nodded f**k sake can this day get any worse? I thought to myself walking over.
His friends were talking amongst themselves f**k sake, more f**k boys.
‘s**t, she’s coming this way.’ Francesco commented.
I looked at the boy who’d been staring at me the longest. ‘Sorry to disturb you, but the teacher said I could sit here as it was the only chair not taken is that okay with you?’
He looked up at me god his eyes were so dark you couldn’t see past them. Almost scared of what he’d do. I swallowed.
‘Sure honey it’s no problem knock yourself out.’
I smiled. ‘Thanks.’ I replied sitting next to him getting my stuff out of my bag and placing the bag on the floor.
They all looked at one another. But he was first to speak, his voice sent chills through me.
‘I’m Christian and these are my cousins Francesco and Alessandro.’
I smiled.’ Kira Blackwood.’
They nodded.
‘So is this your first day Hun?’
‘Yeah, it is.’
‘Cool.’
‘Button it you three. This is a new academic year. I don’t need to put you on detention the first day and I don’t think Miss. Blackwood would appropriate it if you got her into trouble the first day would she?’
‘No sir.’
He smiled at me
I flushed, returning his smile.
The bell rang and they all pulled themselves up. ‘I guess I’ll see you around Kira Blackwood.’
‘I guess you will.’
She walked away.
‘Wow, that kitten is hot.’
‘She sure is.’
‘And I’ll make her mine.’
‘Hey, dude I saw her first.’
‘So we’ll let her decide.’
I sat on the grass at lunch those dickheads had given me a migraine god I hoped I didn’t bump into him.
‘Hey.’

‘May I?’
‘Sure.’
He smiled sitting down. ‘So, how’s your fort day going?’
‘Good.’
‘I wanted to ask you..’
‘Stop right there. I’ve had your cousins on to me for the last hour... so I’m going to tell you the same I’m not interested.’
‘Oh..ok. ‘He looked at her. ‘I was only going to ask if we were in any more classes together if so could we do our homework together.’
‘I’ll think about it, Mr Tanner.’
‘What’s with the attitude? We were okay this morning .’
‘I didn’t know who you were then I do now.’
‘Really who am I?’
‘You’re a Tanner.’
‘Yeah and? Your point is?’
‘Your father took my father’s business away from him.’
‘Oh s**t you’re that Blackwood, but doesn’t your dad still have dealings with the company?’
‘A little.’
He thought for a while.’ So that means your sister works with my brother.’
‘Hugh!!’’
‘My brother is the CEO he mentioned he was getting a new PA today and her name was Blackwood too. I take it you two are related?’
Ryleigh s**t she forgot she was starting her new job today her father had struck some deal with the Tanners to give her a position at the company. Her face paled and slightly flushed. ‘Are you okay?’
She quickly snapped out of her thoughts. ‘Yeah fine. I’m sorry for being so rude.’
‘It’s fine so are we friends?’
She smiled.
He placed his arm over her shoulders. Everyone stood fearing they’d never seen him act like he was with her. ‘Are you okay?’
‘Why is everyone staring?’
‘It’s not you Hun it’s me.’
She looked confused at him.
‘They’re scared of me.’
She let out a laugh. ‘You’re not serious are you?’
‘I am.’
She looked at him his eyes were full of sincerity. ‘You’re not are you?’
‘No, I’m not. You’re the first that doesn’t.’
‘Wow. You don’t even look scary.’
He leaned forward talking into her ear. ‘Oh, I can be.’
Chills ran through my body. Why was this turning her on?
‘Nagh you seem too nice.’
‘I am nice to those I want to be nice to you happen to be one of them.’
She swallowed hard.
‘So fancy doing something after school or the weekend?’
‘Like what?’
‘Oh, I can think of many things.’
Goosebumps lay across her skin. Why was this guy affecting her like this? ‘I thought you wanted to be friends?’
‘I do, I was just teasing.’
She swallowed again.
‘Then again you never know what’s going to happen do you?’
‘I guess not.’
The bell rang. ‘Guess we’ll continue this another time Kira cause we’ll be late for registration and I’d rather not get you into trouble not being your first day here anyway.’ He grinned pulling himself up and stretching his hand out. She looked at it more than him, he smiled sweetly. She placed her hand on his, he wrapped his hand around hers pulling her up to her feet, walking away not losing her hand till she went to her class. ‘I’ll see you soon okay.’
‘Okay.’
He kissed her cheek walking away. She smiled going into class, maybe coming here wasn’t going to be that bad after all.
I slammed the door behind me and my father looked at me .’ What was that for pumpkin? What did the door ever do to you ?’
‘I’m not in the mood papa.’
‘Okay. So I take it your first day didn’t go too well?’
‘I said not now papa.’
‘Sure pumpkin.’
