Andy and the other two authors were in the conference room at The Self Pub when Felix arrived juggling his laptop and his coffee. Beatrice came in to say hello and wish them luck, reminding them each not to monopolize the conversation.
“Try to draw people into our community by mentioning what you’re doing for other authors,” she suggested.
Felix knit his eyebrows, trying to think what he had done to help other people. He had joined, hadn’t he? He still needed to review a book this month, but he just hadn’t got around to it yet. Think!
Andy went over the questions to help the authors to prepare.
“Maybe you could jot down a phrase that will get you started for each one, to avoid any dead time,” he said. He passed around a sheet with the questions.
