The next day, Luna bounced out of bed, energized by Raven’s new song playing in her head. She whipped up a quick breakfast and headed out, merch bag in hand. She'd seen the post Raven’s signing event today, and she wasn't missing it!
As she walked to work, her mind wandered to Alex. Had he gotten her message? Friends.
Arriving at the office, Luna slipped into work mode. But her mind kept drifting to Raven’s signing. What if he asks about his fans?
Luna's day flew by in a blur of meetings and deadlines. As soon as her shift ended, she grabbed her bag and made a beeline for the venue. As Luna got there, her heart sank as she realized she'd missed the signing event. She'd been looking forward to it all day, and now it was over. She'd even dressed down in her black nose mask and trousers, hoping to fly under the radar, but it didn't matter now.
She felt disappointed. Her phone buzzed. Alex.
Hey, what's up? Jam tomorrow?
Luna smiled wistfully. Maybe. She texted back: Just drive me home?
Alex smiled on seeing the message.
He arrived early, and Luna hopped in, slamming the door shut behind her. "Just drive, please," she muttered, tossing her bag onto the backseat.
Alex raised an eyebrow but didn't push. "Rough day, huh?"
Luna just shook her head, staring out the window. "Raven's signing. I missed it."
Alex nodded sympathetically. "Bummer. Want to grab food or something?"
Luna shrugged. "Maybe."
Luna didn't say much on the ride home, just poked at her food when they got to her place. Alex knew she was done talking, so he just dropped it off and said, "Text me if you need anything, 'kay?"
Luna nodded, taking the bag of food, and headed inside. As the door closed behind her, she let out a sigh. Luna dropped her bag and slid down onto the couch, food untouched. She'd been so hyped about Raven's signing, and now it was over. The silence of her apartment swallowed her.
Her phone buzzed. Alex again: You okay? Want company?
Luna smiled weakly. He knew her too well. She texted back: Nah, I'm fine. Just sleepy.
The response came instantly: Okay. Call if you need anything.
Luna set her phone down, feeling a mix of gratitude and loneliness. She got up, changed into PJs, and collapsed onto her bed, surrounded by Raven posters, but fatigue won her out. As she drifted off, Raven’s face was the last thing she saw.
Meanwhile, back at Raven’s, two ladies secretly came into his apartment. The ladies claimed they just wanted a selfie, but Raven wasn't having it. "Get them outta here, now!" he yelled, his voice echoing through the house. The guards rushed in, escorting the would-be fans out.
As the door closed, Raven let out a frustrated growl. This was the last thing he needed – crazed fans crossing boundaries. He flopped back onto his couch, trying to calm down.
But the encounter left him on edge. He glanced around his empty house, feeling more trapped than ever.
Raven’s eyes drooped, and he finally drifted off, exhaustion winning out. The drama would still be there tomorrow
The next morning, Raven woke up to a flood of notifications – fans speculating about the signing, about him. He rubbed his temples. Time to face the music.
He checked his schedule: rehearsals for the upcoming tour, interviews, and... a date with the president’s daughter?
Raven groaned, staring at the phone. The president's daughter? He'd forgotten about that. He scrubbed a hand over his face. He didn't want to hurt the president's daughter, but he wasn't into her like that. And he wasn't the "more love" type – he liked things chill.
He texted Harry: "Dude, can't do the date. Tell her I'm sick or something."
Harry's response came quick: "No way, Rave. She's into you. Just be cool, okay?"
Raven sighed. This was gonna end badly.
He had no choice than to go, so he choosed a luxurious restaurant for the date. He dressed cute and head to the restaurant,
Luna's exhaustion turned to shock as she collided with Raven entering the restaurant. Her idol's reflexes kicked in, and he gripped her hand tight, steadying her. For a fleeting moment, they locked eyes. Then, the president's daughter appeared, and Raven's grip loosened. The security guard intervened, "Ma'am, please excuse, you're blocking the entrance."
Luna nodded, still dazed, and stepped aside. She watched Raven disappear into the restaurant with the president's daughter. Her hand still tingled from his touch.
Luna let out a slow breath. What just happened? She hailed a ride, her mind replaying the encounter.
Luna's ride dropped her home. She flopped onto her couch, Raven's face stuck in her mind. Why was he with the president's daughter? And why did he hold her hand like that?
Her phone buzzed. Alex: "Hey, how was your night?"
Luna sighed. She texted back: "Saw Raven. Like, actually saw him."
Alex responded instantly: "WHAT?! Tell me everything."
Luna smiled weakly. She started typing, fingers flying.
Luna's fingers flew: "I was leaving that fancy restaurant, and I BAM! into Raven. Like, literally. He held my hand so I wouldn't fall. Then his fancy date showed up and... ugh."
Alex responded: "Hold up. Fancy date? Who?"
Luna hesitated, then typed: "President's daughter, I think."
Alex sent a shocked emoji.
Luna added: "I know, right? Don't tell anyone."
Alex's response came quick: "Girl, this is BIG. Don't tell anyone, but... maybe Raven's got a thing for you? "
Luna's heart skipped: "Don't be extra, Alex. It was just a hand-hold."
Alex: "A hand-hold with your idol, Lu. You can't convince me."
Luna smiled, shaking her head.
Luna quickly typed: "Gonna have to pause, Alex. Got some docs to sort out. We'll catch up later."
Alex: "Koodo, Lu! Don't forget to spill.”
Luna chuckled, locking her phone. Work first, Raven drama later.
The documents needed her attention – a scholarship application deadline loomed.
Meanwhile, on the other hand. Raven sat across from the president's daughter, forcing a smile. "So, how was your day?"
She chatted about politics and connections. Raven's mind wandered to the lady he jammed – that surprise collision, the hand-hold...
The president's daughter paused. "Raven, are you okay? You seem... distracted."
Raven snapped back. "Sorry, yeah. Just... work stuff."
