CHAPTER EIGHT Gabriel lounged in a lawn chair on the quaint terrace of the bed and breakfast where he had taken up quarters the day before after leaving the villas and his team in the hands of the police. Well, he hadn’t had a choice there, he shrugged. He nursed a coffee so stiff that the hair at the back of his neck bristled. A permanent glower pulled the corners of his mouth down, and his brows knitted.
