Chapter 30(2): Just be there for you

Violet's body stiffened when Skye stirred awake. She wanted to move and go away from her mate, trying to stop the feelings she might used to feel and might have a hard time concealing it. But her body betrayed her. She didn't move and just waited for the girl in her arms to open her eyes. Skye didn't move either. She no longer feels the cold but their clothes and bodies were still a little less wet. Thanks to Violet's comfortably warm body. Skye's fully awake now but she stayed on her position. She's waiting for the brunette to move first but internally praying that she wouldn't and they will just stay there forever, if possible. She love the warmth that Violet is giving her. It feels like home. It brought unexplainable yet wonderful emotions in her. It feels like she's gonna fall asleep again. Skye carefully and softly hugged Violet much closer towards her wanting more. She doesn't know what the brunette might do and think about it, the brunette might think she's desperate but she still presses her luck. But unfortunately, it seems like she's the unluckiest person in the world when Violet started to move, untangling both of her arms away from Skye. "The rain has stopped. We should move now." The brunette said, her voice is low and husky. She cleared her throat immediately before she moves. Skye unwillingly move her head away from Violet's neck and keep her hands away from her when the latter slowly stood up. She bit her lips trying to avoid pouting it. She looked like a baby who left by her mother as she stared at Violet. The brunette didn't wait for her to stand up as she head out from the shelter. She walk ahead without galncing back at the now pouting Skye. Who stand up begrudgingly and quickly stretches her neck, arms and body before she followed Violet. When Skye got out from the shelter, Violet was already on the far end of the open area. She took a quick steps towards her, afraid she might lost on her sight again. The white white sneakers that Violet lend for her is now fully drenched in mud it's color were almost fully brown. Skye slow her pace when she was a meter away on from Violet. The latter was back to her usual self. Walking ahead without talking to her and even glancing back at her. If Skye will start a conversation now, she is sure that the brunette will give her cold stares and replies. A smile slowly crept on Skye's lips as her mind recalled the embraced that they shared just a while ago. She wonder what Violet thought about it. She doesn't seem like she's angry at Skye so the latter don't have a reason to be nervous. But Violet shouldn't get angry at her in the first place since she's the one who initiate the hug. Skye didn't do wrong , she just grab the opportunity. She don't mind free hugs. Especially If it was specifically from a cold and distant, blueish grey eyes gorgeous brunette. Skye remembered what she have thought earlier. She was so determine to know even just one thing about Violet before they departed ways. Well actually, she didn't get one really but what she got was more than that. And Skye can't help to smile giddily as she follow the brunette. Soon they will reached their destination and they will be separated and go to their each other's home and lives but Skye can feel this was just the beginning.
