Gaia School was just letting out when we arrived. I had to be honest, it felt beyond good to be back. As I walked down the halls, people called my name from every direction. “Gaia, it’s so good to see you!” “You look gorgeous, Gaia, how are you?” “Oh my God, Gaia! I missed you this week!” “Hey Gaia! You’re coming to my party this weekend, right?” My cheeks hurt from smiling so hard. Even teachers greeted me with joy, not minding in the slightest that I had just missed a full week of school. By the time I made it to the girls locker room, I had given so many hugs and talked to so many happy people that I was practically floating with joy.
