Gaia At some point, exhaustion had taken over, and I had fallen asleep, with Dawson in my arms. I was ravenously hungry. I glanced at the clock beside the bed, and it read 10:15pm. Well, that nap would ruin my nights sleep... “Daws?” I called, throwing my legs over the bed. I sniffed deeply. His scent was faded enough that I knew he was not in the room. I glanced around for a note, or any indication of where he might be, but saw nothing. Worry gnawed at me, compounding with waves of guilt. I shouldn’t have done what I did. In all truthfulness, I wasn’t even completely sure what I had done.
