Dawson had made a reservation for us at a day spa! I was still amazed at how big Blood Moon was, how many things were on the lands. The spa was gorgeous, all wood and floor to ceiling windows. There were hot spring pools outside, sending steam up into the sunny sky, and the entire place smelled like sage and jasmine. We got full body massages, and then facials and Dawson got a foot massage while I got a pedicure. I peppered him with questions the entire time and he bounced them back at me.
“So,” I said, trying not to move my lips as my facial mask dried. “Did you and Beta Khason kiss and make up?”
He snorted from the chair beside me. His fingers were tangled with mine, and he rubbed my hand lightly with his thumb. “Something like that.”
