Gaia
The party was in full swing when I arrived. Kids spilled out of the giant house by the river, sprawling across the lawn, chasing each other down towards the dock. Music pounded through the night, and everything was littered with red cups and haphazard party decorations. I grinned as I made my way into the house. I didn’t envy whoever was going to clean this all up.
“Ooh, Gaia! GAIA!” Haley dashed over, flinging her arms around me. I got a massive whiff of alcohol and chuckled, patting her back.
“Hi there, honey. How’s it going?”
“Fan-tastic!” She hissed, grinning happily. I laughed.
“Where’s Chenny-Chen Chen?” I threw my arm over her shoulders as she led me through the swarm towards the sun room, which had been turned into a games room. Someone handed me an electric blue drink.
