Dawson I paced in front of the pack house, seething. I had told Khason to bring Gaia upstairs. When I had gone up to the Alpha floor and found it empty I had been livid. When I had returned to the dining hall to find them not there either, I had panicked. I had immediately mind-linked Khason, just for him to tell me he had brought Gaia to see her father. Didn’t he realize there were wolves out there hunting my Luna, who had proven they were not afraid to enter my lands? Gaia’s father’s house was near enough to the edge of my territory that it would be easy enough for them to snatch her from there without me even knowing. Fear and anger roiled in my stomach. I itched to phase and sprint through the woods to her. Other pack members flowed in and out of the house, eyeing me with caution.
