CHAPTER SIX Grayson stared at the computer screen without seeing it. He’d been doing intake cataloging for the new stuff, but it was starting to blur together now. All day, he’d been trying to find tasks around the office to distract himself with. Usually, he was happy to do anything related to history, no matter how small or seemingly pointless. Nothing held his attention today, though. It irritated him. What he needed was a research project. He could work on his master’s thesis—the one his advisor had told him should be expanded as the basis for his dissertation. Just thinking about that made panic rise, though.
