CHAPTER FIVE

CHAPTER FIVE Camille was trying to figure out if Palmer was just a really good bullshitter or if McCutcheon respected him enough to give in to his wishes. Whatever the case, he met her at the coffee shop exactly fourteen minutes after they parted ways at the elevator. Palmer elected to drive the sixty-eight miles between the field office and Hen Creek, which was fine with Camille. It gave her an opportunity to look over the case files Captain Beecher had sent over. It honestly wasn't much to see. There were a few photos that backed up the gator theory quite easily. To an untrained eye, the photos and the depictions of the scenes where the bodies were found did indeed seem like unfortunate cases of alligators attacking humans. There were two peculiar items that nagged at Camille, though.
