I couldn’t stop replaying the night before in my head, hearing Eliana's shaky voice when she told Juliette and I what Alex did.
And just when I was already overthinking about Samael after Alex stalking her, Eliana's encounter with Alex made it worse.
One thing Juliette's encounter with Alex proved was that Samael and Alex weren’t just casual acquaintances. And if Eliana’s assault proved anything, it was that whoever Alex was tied to was dangerous.
I’d made up my mind I’d confront Samael.
