Eliana’s POV
“Hey you." Asa said as he came to us.
For a second, my mind went completely blank as I got up to meet him. The chatter around me faded until it was just him and that calm smile I always see him wear.
“Hi.” I said finally. “You’re here.”
“I am.” He said simply, stopping a few feet away. His eyes softened slightly as they met mine. “It’s been a while.”
“Three weeks.” Sophia chimed in, before stuffing a chip in her mouth. “Not that anyone was counting.”
“Sophia.” I shot at her, giving her a look as heat started rising to my cheeks
“What? I’m just helping with context.”
“Helping. Right.” Juliette snorted softly.
Asa’s lips curved faintly, but his gaze didn’t leave mine.
“You look beautiful.” He said, admiring my outfit.
“Thanks.” I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear
