"Hi." She smiled at him before her gaze went to his car behind him. "I hope I didn't keep you waiting." "Not at all. This is your car?" She asked, still looking at the car. Elvis also looked behind him. He didn't understand why she asked, but he just nodded. "Yes," "I thought it was a different car... She couldn't finish her words. She just kept looking at the car. She knew he drove a different car last night, even though she didn't know the kind of car it was because of her condition. She suggested fueling his car without knowing he was using a BMW. "Yes. That was my friend's car." Elvis replied, still confused. Audrey was about to say something when her friend cleared her throat, smiling brightly at her. "Oh. This is my friend, Mira. And, Mira. Elvis." "Hi. Nice to meet you." Elvis said. "Same here." They shook hands. "You're so handsome." Mira smiled before winking at her friend. "You also look pretty." Elvis also complimented her, while Audrey just glared at her friend to stop talking. "OK. We should get going." She said. She carried her small bag, which Elvis helped her place in the boot of the car. "Bye," Mira waved at them as they got into the car, to which Audrey also waved back. They got into the car, and the journey began. The silence between them was uncomfortable, especially for Audrey. She kept stealing glances at him, admiring his focused expression as he drove. She couldn't help but wonder. "Who is he? Why exactly did he help her? He is handsome and calm, and he also looks like he's financially okay. Not the like of someone who would help her without a reason. "So, what do you do for a living?" She asked, but immediately regretted it. She hopes her curiosity won't get her into trouble one day. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to ask you a personal question... I just He glances at her before focusing on the road. "It's fine. I'm... well, I'm a businessman." "OK." Audrey nodded her head, even though she wanted to ask which business. "What about you? What do you do?" "I'm a computer engineer at a startup tech company. At least I hope I still am. She whispered the last part, but it didn't go unheard by Elvis; he just chose to ignore it. Her ex, Dylan, was close to the CEO of the startup company she was working for, and she knew her job was over the minute she broke up with him. "Wow. That's wonderful." He said, to which Audrey also smiled as if he had said something to be proud of. "Thank you." She said. They both exchanged gazes until Elvis looked back at the road. She hoped her holiday would go well, and she could think about the next step in her life next year. Her mom would be so happy to meet her boyfriend, given how her aunt and cousin always act as if she was lying about having a boyfriend and would die single. "Oh my goodness! I almost forgot. My ex-boyfriend's name is Dylan." She exclaimed, to which Elvis also looked at her, confused she was talking about her boyfriend suddenly. "My mum... she knows my boyfriend's name is Dylan, even though we've broken up. But she knows." She explained before rubbing her temples. "Oh my goodness! How do I explain this?" She whispered to herself when she heard. "Just tell her I'm Dylan. Or has she seen a picture?" He said, but Audrey just kept looking at him. How much more will this guy be nice? It made her think of her ex, Dylan, but she quickly glanced away to avoid showing him her tears. "I... I'm sorry. You don't know me, and I'm putting a lot on you. I'm sorry... He chuckled, still looking at the road. "I can't count how many times you've apologized to me since we met, Audrey. It's fine. I understand." "Thank you." Audrey also smiled. The journey continued until they finally pulled over in the streets in front of a house. It was evening when they got there, and it was almost getting dark. They both walked towards the house. Audrey couldn't understand why she was nervous. It was her parent's house, and the guy beside her didn't even look like he was nervous. He just looked around the houses in the neighbourhood. "It looks beautiful." He said, to which Audrey also smiled. "Wait till it gets dark." She knocked on the door, and immediately, the door was opened as if someone had been waiting patiently there. "Audrey, my dear." Her mom pulled her into a hug. "Mom. How are you?" She smiled, also hugging her back. "I'm fine. How about you? I've missed you so much." Her mom pulled away from the hug. Just then, she noticed the handsome guy standing beside her. "Oh my goodness! Pardon me for my manners. I got carried away. How are you, dear?" She said to Elvis, who also smiled back at her. "I'm fine." She looked at her daughter, and with their gazes, they communicated with their eyes. "I'm so happy to meet you, dear. What's your name?" The woman asked. She knew his name and had been singing about it all morning, but seeing him suddenly felt like her memory was wiped off. "I'm Elvis... before he could finish, Audrey cut him off. "Dylan... Dylan White." Elvis bit his lip tightly. He couldn't understand how he could make a mistake. Audrey's mom looked confused. She suspected something was wrong until Audrey said. "Well... his name is Elvis, and his second name is Dylan, which I like calling him more. You can just call him Elvis." She said, followed by a chuckle and a smile. "OK. Please come in." Her mom directed him into the house. "Gosh!" she sighed, touching her chest. She was happy she quickly handled that. She just hoped more wouldn't come before she would expose herself. Thinking of handling the matter, she just lay in front of the man without even batting an eye. "Gosh. This is embarrassing. What will he think of me now? She hit her head several times because of the embarrassment before she finally entered the house and closed the door after her.
