Ally’s POV
My heart dropped. My mind went right to what Amber and Syd explained to me about mates. An overwhelming sense of panic started to burn deep in my chest. My breathing was speeding up and tears began falling from my eyes. Leah sat up and howled. It was the saddest sound I had ever heard. It only made me cry harder.
She sat back and nudged my hand. I wrapped my arms around her neck and cried into her fur.
“Leah he can’t be dead. I just found him. What are we going to do?”
Leah not having any answers for me didn’t send me any comfort. I wanted to scream and to hit something. How could this be fair? I thought the Moon Goddess like me.
