~Rowan's Pov~ She talked for forty-seven minutes. Rowan knew the time because the clock on the wall had been the only thing he allowed himself to look at that wasn't her face. Her face was doing something he had never seen it do, it was open. Every wall she had kept up since the day she walked into his office with a proposal and an agenda had come down, and what was underneath was a woman who was frightened and exhausted and quietly ashamed.
