Samuel rolled off the Infernal, panting and littered with cuts that crackled with pain as if they’d been doused with salty lemon juice. Wheeze hauled him back, his one good arm just strong enough to overpower Samuel in his magically hastened state, fueled by adrenaline and rage. He was laughing while Skelly shouted threats and slurs. “Holy s**t Sammy, wha’ was tha’?” He asked, dropping Samuel once he’d drug him a few feet away. “The Infernal’s f****d good an’ proper!” Samuel wouldn’t tear his eyes from the otherworldly evil, as it was still glowering at him. She had dozens of ragged, steaming wounds torn into her body. Her flesh was cracked and charred at each wound.
