Dahlia hurries to stand from the sand and glimpses the back of her captor just before he turns a corner and disappears. She hurries after him, cursing his long legs that have him eating so much ground without effort. She hurries to where she had seen him last and searches the direction she had seen him take. She sees the outline of his black cape far to her right and she gives chase. But when she reaches the last place she had seen him, she cannot find him anymore. She turns in a circle, searching for him but there is no more trace of him at all. It almost makes her wonder if he had been trying to escape her but the thought is so ridiculous she casts it away.
