The door to the large hall swung open, letting in a huge amount of light that almost blinded Akira.
She winced in pain and she tried to avoid direct eye contact with the light.
“You! Look at me!”
She recognised the thundering voice, there was nothing new or different about the way the voice thundered except the fact that it was laced with hate.
The voice of the man she was supposed to end up with remained the same but the emotions behind his words were long gone.
“Kai?” she called as she squinted her eyes, “is that you? Thank God you're here, tell them to let go of me.” She cried.
A vain effort it was starting to reconnect with him.
